As part of our partnership with Arte Kino Festival, we will be hosting an online Guest Session with one of the festival's filmmakers, Gretta-Garolina Sammalniemi. Make sure to watch Grett-Garolina's film, Heavy Metal Dancers, before joining the call so you can come armed with questions :)

Gretta-Garoliina Sammalniemi was born in North Finland, Rovaniemi in 1988 and studied and lived in Tornio, next to the Swedish border. During her studies in Finland she was involved in many short film productions. For her graduation film she directed an international documentary that had its premiere in the Palace of Versailles and was shown twice by the Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE). Gretta moved to Germany in 2013 and currently studies fiction film directing at the University of Television and Film, Munich (HFF)./// Youth Jury
