Hygiene Protocol while the corona traffic light is red:

  • All lessons which can be moved online must be. In person teaching may take place only for necessary practical formats

  • Team members who can perform their duties from home must do so. This means that some of our office team will be working from home and the best way to contact them will be through email.

  • Film Productions: may take place if they are mandatory for the degree programme. Max participants 20. Depending on further state restrictions group sizes may be limited further and be limited to students. 2G+ model applies when masks and minimum distancing can not be maintained.

  • Room and equipment bookings continue to be possible under 3G.

  • Only artists and crew connected to productions which are mandatory for the degree programme are permitted on site. Visitors or guests are not permitted on campus

In the area of study the 3G rule applies.

While attending any study-related event as well as when using studios, common areas, and classroom students must carry with them proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test no older than 48 hours. Team members will be checking students' status before booking studios and entering classrooms. Students who have been vaccinated or recovered may submit proof of this to tests@catalyst-berlin.com and will be exempt from showing proof. Only test results from approved testing facilities will be accepted. These results must also be submitted to tests@catalyst-berlin.com.

An exception to the 3G rule applies only in the Screen Acting programme. While the traffic light is red 2G+ applies.

Masks

An FFP2 or N95 mask must be worn in all public areas and in the classroom while seated. Tutors are not required to wear a mask while teaching so long as minimum distance is maintained (1.5 meters).

Further Recommendations

Test regularly (even for vaccinated or recovered individuals). This can catch positive cases which may otherwise be missed due to asymptomatic infection. You can find a list of testing centers HERE.

Stay home if you have regular cold symptoms.

If you have been exposed to or infected with the corona virus please see below:

Quarantine obligation for contact persons

Close contacts of persons infected with Covid-19 are also required to quarantine themselves for ten days. Exceptions apply to asymptomatic persons who:

  • are fully vaccinated and have received a booster vaccination

  • are fully vaccinated and have had their last vaccination less than three months ago

  • have recovered from a corona illness that occurred no more than three months ago

Quarantine obligation after positive test result (Link in German)

Anyone who tests positive for coronavirus must comply with quarantine and more extensive testing obligations, depending on the type of testing:

  • In the case of a positive PoC rapid test or self-test, which was performed under supervision, affected individuals must immediately submit to a PCR test. Home quarantine is mandatory until the test result is submitted.

  • In the case of a positive PoC self-test, which was not carried out under supervision, initially only the obligation to have a PCR test carried out immediately applies. Even if no quarantine obligation applies in this case, those affected should go into domestic isolation as a precaution.

  • In the event of a positive PCR test, domestic isolation must generally be maintained for ten days. The isolation obligation ends after this period without testing. A reduction to seven days is possible with a negative PCR or antigen rapid test.
