As a result of a rising rate of infection, Berlin has recently implemented 2G (vaccinated/recovered) across more areas of public life. This means that for most places other than retail stores proof of vaccination or recovery is required.

Along with this change the government has also reintroduced the possibility for each resident to receive at least one free test per week at any of the testing sites across the city.

This change does not impact our hygiene protocol. Catalyst will continue to operate under the same 3G policy along with all other universities and schools in Germany. Two tests per week from anyone who is unvaccinated will continue to be required.

The national strategy in Germany is still being decided and changes to this policy may occur. Though we are not currently moving to 2G we may be required to in the future.
