Hi Everyone, 

As Semester B comes to an end I'm writing to inform you of opening hours, booking availability and some changes in our testing protocol. 

Opening Times

From May 31st until August 16th our opening hours will change to Monday - Friday from 10:00 until 18:00. Music technicians will be on site during these hours, while film technicians will have reduced operating hours and be available on 2/3 days per week. You will see this reflected in the booking system from May 31st. Furthermore, Catalyst will be closed from August 16th until the start of the new Semester in September. 

Bookings
We strive to offer each of you as much time with equipment and studios as we can manage, and this is true even after classes are over. If you are continuing your journey with us next year, or if this was your last year with us you are welcome to continue using the studios and equipment until we close in August. Please be aware that the summer months are a time in which technicians and other team members may make some spaces unavailable due to maintenance or other uses and so there is no guarantee that equipment or rooms will be available. 

With the end of the semester all bookable allowances have now returned to the regular weekly allowances for each programme. MA students will not be affected and the additional hours are still applicable. 

Compensation hours can be used during this period or at any point in the next year. Please refer to my email regarding compensation hours for more information.  Alumni will lose access to Catalyst facilities after August unless making a booking using compensation hours. 

Testing / Hygiene Protocol
Until regulations change the current hygiene protocol will remain in place, and this does include the requirement for negative tests if you are working with larger groups on site. Tests will be available in the tech shop at cost (usually around 3.50 Euros). Please note that we will not be providing free tests after the 24.05.2021.

Your creativity and ability to deal with the dynamics of this last year have been truly impressive. That we were successful in being able to continue delivering in person workshops, and offering bookable time throughout most of this time is a success that comes from each of you. Thank you!
